I am currently pregnant with my second child in the early stages and very tired. As a working mom with a toddler, and a busy life you often put yourself at the bottom of the “to-do” list. Well, I had an important meeting one morning and took a few extra minutes to apply my makeup carefully and don a new suit. I came out from the bedroom where my husband was feeding my twenty month old his breakfast. My son looked up at me with the widest smile and said in his broken words – “Mommy, so pretty!” I’ve been lucky enough in my life to have moments where I’ve felt loved, but this moment was so pure and unconditional – I knew then that I had a friend for life. This is a perfect example of why I love being a mom.
